Usually I don’t blog with patterns that are not free, however, because I live in the Pacific North West and love the pattern, I am posting more of a photo journal.

I got this pattern from Expression Fiber Arts. If I had the means to buy their yarn, I totally would. Every Friday they have a free knit and/or crochet pattern. For more information, check out their website here.

For this wrap, I had some dusty blue boucle yarn lying around. It looks soft, but it’s not. I had 8 skeins and it only took 4.5. Though the yarn was not soft, the yarn texture helped create more of a water texture.

My time period for knitting this wrap was just about a month. Now I was just using the pattern more as a wrap instead of a poncho.

Length wise, I compared the wrap to two scarves. I had previously tested the scarves length to get a gage on how long I wanted the wrap to be.

I finished it just in time to wear it to my brother’s wedding. And here it is, I love how it looks with my dress.
