The Iron Man movie was Marvel’s first big hit. As a part of the Avengers, here is a hat in honor of Tony Stark’s Iron Man. I think he would be pleased to have a beanie designed after him.

This beanie is the same base as the one I did for the rest of the Avengers. The pattern can be found on my Captain America post, here.

Materials:

  1. Size 6 double sided knitting needles
  2. Size 7 double sided knitting
  3. Red yarn
  4. Yellow yarn
  5. Bright blue yarn
  6. White yarn
  7. G crochet hook
  8. yarn needle
  9. stitch marker

For the beanie, I started off with using the yellow to do the ribbing. I chose yellow because it is the accent color on the first Iron Man suits.

For the body of the hat, as shown, I switched to a darker sporty red yarn. This is about the color of the main part of the Iron Man suit

To finish it off I crocheted a circle using more of an electric blue and a triangle using white. I used scraps I had around. These shapes form the arc reactor shape from the second Iron Man film.

I chose to sew the arc reactor on to the ribbing.

And that is my Iron Man beanie. If you have any suggestions for what superhero or villain I should take a shot at leave a comment down below.
