This cowl was for a friend. I like to call this “Sunset Cowl”, even though I’m not using sunset colors.

As far as Fairs Isle patterns go, this wasn’t to hard at all. I worked on this almost every day over Christmas break and the first few weeks of January. I followed this pattern.
Materials:
- Wrap Star by Lion Brand color Lauryn
- Wrap Star by Lion Brand color Lisa
- Size 6 round needles
- Yarn needle
- Stitch marker
This yarn is a little difficult to work with when you start out, but once I get use to it is not hard to use. I started with Lisa, the darker color.

When knitting with the two colors, together they look amazing together.

And here it is a few rows later. So pretty!

The beginning of the tree.

These trees remind me of the forests in Washington. Especially Quinault Rainforest in the North near Olympia Wa.

The reindeer is so striking against the blue sky.

The trees, even when both yarns are fading out, look striking.

And here it is after knitting, washing, blocking, and loosening up some of the tight spots. Here is my friend wearing on a rather warm winter day.

One knit-list item down, let’s see how many more I can bang off in this semester.
