Of all the Avengers, Thor is one of my favorites. This hat is a nice addition to my Avenger beanies. I have to say that my favorite Thor movie is definitely Thor: Ragnarok.
The pattern for the hat is the exact same one I used for the Captain America beanie which is here. The wings can be found here.
Materials:
- Red yarn
- Dark grey yarn
- Light grey yarn
- 4 size 6 double sided needles
- 5 size 7 double sided needles
- G crochet hook
- Safety pin to mark beginning
- Yarn needle
Cast onto size 6 needles with red. Work the ribbing pattern.
After ribbing, switch to size 7 needles and dark grey. Work pattern until finish.
The hat should look like this when finished.
Using size G crochet hook crochet wings in light grey.
Sew the wings onto the hat. I sewed each one on half of the hat. With 4 sections of decrease, I sewed the first one in one of the sections and the second one on the opposite section.
Though this hat is a bit cartoony, I think it perfectly fits Thor, nodding to the movies, comics and cartoons.
