During the time I was not blogging, sorry about that, I was able to work on this shawl. I made this shawl for a friend.

This is a shawl went rather quickly. It was not hard to make. For anyone looking for a quick but beautiful shawl, this is a good one to try.

Materials:

  • Any medium weight yarn you want
  • size 11 or 10 circular knitting needles
  • stitch markers

To start off following the pattern, make sure you have the stitch marker in pace. I used a white yarn piece.

As you can see the yarn I chose is beautiful, but also a pain to see the pattern when starting out. I think I restarted it at least once.

Just a few days later it has grown quite a bit. Make sure you record how many rows you do. I use the app BeeCount when dealing with large numbers, but you can use whatever.

Just a few more days later it continued to grow at a very fast rate. This is either the fastest shawl I’ve done or I had a lot of time to knit. Probably both.

Here is the starting edge of the shawl. Over all it took about 18 days to make. This would honestly make a great last minute gift to make.

This is the edge of the shawl. If you just follow the chart provided, it creates a beautiful lace pattern.

And here it is. A beautiful red lace shawl that can be made in a short time. It combines warmth and lace to create the perfect fall and winter accessory.
