As a friend for the River Song journal, which will be up soon. I’m not fully done with it, but that is another post. I am excited to finally finish this.
It wasn’t hard to make after having one River Song journal.
Materials:
- Hard cover book or journal
- This template
- Black paint
- Glue
- Ruler
- Exacto knife
Print out the template on card stock and cut out the front. I resized it in Illustrator to make it fit my hard cover.
Here I have the cut out on my hardcover book.

Here is what it looks like with all the panels removed.
Put glue on all the frame of the door cover. You won’t need the panels that were cut out. Place the frame on the front of the book cover. Press hard until completely dried. This will keep the bumps down.
Once the printed template is dried, start painting it with black paint.
I’m planning to get some bronze numbers and letter to put on the front of the cover. But for now I painted it over with black.
Here is my journal so far. I have all the pages cut out for the journal and will soon be binding it all.
Here it is almost done. I hope to post my finishing of my 221B journal.
